We should plan something this Fall! The Bigelowshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17018056766456568776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137743105233473746.post-23820970731579786452011-08-19T12:54:16.602-07:002011-08-19T12:54:16.602-07:00He sounds like he has the temperament of my oldest...He sounds like he has the temperament of my oldest... I used to get so mad when someone would call her "strong willed" as if it was a negative thing.. It definitely keeps a mom on her toes when it's the dogs water bowl when they're one. But it's also the thing that has made her succeed at virtually everything she's ever tried. And, had her setting her own alarm clock to get herself up at 6:30 a.m. when she was in first grade. My biggest fear for her is that she will lose that will when she notices boys..

My youngest goes more of the resourceful route.. She'll try until she sees it isn't going to work and then moves on to the next thing when I'm not looking. She will be the child that will write the spelling word the way she thinks it should be spelled instead of the way she knows it's supposed to be spelled. And that'll be okay too.. Sometimes things need to be re-written..

This is what I know to be true: Both of them have the potential to make the world a better place if I let them be themselves. I think it took me having the second one to see that they can't be fit into the certain mold that I felt like everyone around me was telling me "good kids" fit in. It sounds like you figured that out much quicker than I did. Good for you and really good for Ethan! I hope I do get a chance to meet you in real life sometime!Danahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06199572539645442950noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137743105233473746.post-85121959037359567112011-07-15T20:52:20.866-07:002011-07-15T20:52:20.866-07:00I love him too! and he is so very smart and of cou...I love him too! and he is so very smart and of course he takes after me with that gregarious side, ok maybe a little of you.
